Bio

Pierce Avenue has indeed paired their love with their affinity for country music, meshing their solo chops to create a soulful, southern-fringed sound. Embracing their authentic country roots with twang and sass, the high-octane duo delivers high-energy performances laced with the pair's flawless harmonies that leave no doubt in the listener the two have become one.

In 2010 Tony Pierce, a budding guitar player from Texas, and his girlfriend Jaime- a young hopeful country female singer from Indiana, moved to Nashville together when he got the job to play lead guitar for a new country artist that had just signed a record deal. After 3 years with the emerging artist and a few opportunities like playing onstage at the Grand Ole Opry under his belt, he should have been on cloud nine. He was living out any young guitar players dream, but instead he was frustrated with the feeling something was missing.

In late 2013 after being away from each other while he was out on the road playing guitar, married Tony & Jaime now- Pierce Avenue, took a leap of faith and released their first single written solely by Tony, "Take It to the House." Along with producer Jimmy Dulin(who produced "Take It to the House" & "Shut Up & Love Me") and engineer Todd Tidwell from Starstruck Entertainment, Pierce Avenue produced and co-wrote on all 5 tracks on their country self-titled debut EP released in 2014.

In 2015 Pierce Avenue put a country spin on R&B artist John Legend's megahit, "All of Me," and released a track and video that's had over 100K views to date-  but a year later something unimaginable would happen. Tony entered a guitar contest online through Guitar Center, and was 1 of 5 finalists out of 6,000 entries to be flown to Los Angeles, CA and play on stage with Vince Gill and his band in the 'Onstage with Vince Gill Contest' chosen by Vince himself! Vince then invited all five contestants to play a special show with him one evening in Nashville! Each contestant got to use their allotted time on stage with Vince and his band as they chose. The crowd watched and cheered them on, as Pierce Avenue closed their set with Vince's hit, "One More Last Chance" (Tony's favorite song) with Tony sharing the guitar licks with his idol Vince and well-known guitar player, Tom Bukovac. It was a dream come true for these two Nashville hopefuls, standing on stage with some of Nashville's biggest musicians!

Pierce Avenue continues to play in downtown Nashville when they're not on the road for a corporate or private event, or traveling the US to different fairs or venues- bringing a little Nashville to towns everywhere! They continue writing new original music to be released later this year, and working towards their ultimate goal of being invited on the Grand Ole Opry!

Check out their latest single, "Wine & Whiskey" on iTunes and all streaming channels, along with all of their original music to date!

"Pierce Avenue isn't your typical mainstream duo: they're far more Patty Loveless and Merle Haggard than Nelly or Drake. Their understanding of country music's roots is heartily felt on their new self-titled EP, a meager five track project that zigs and zags between captivating tradition and roots-driven melodies and southern honky-tonk... the husband-wife pairing is enrapturing- piecing together authentic country heartbreak and real life lessons into a complete journey.... Jaime's delicately-chosen phrasing and grit in her voice is reminiscent to the Neo-traditional legend Patty Loveless... while Tony shines with a soaring confidence, rivaling the charm of such male A-listers as Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan."
